Getting ready for a big week of hospital and surgery, and my old friend Jim Goller and I went out this morning to try and catch a couple. And we did. Put a pretty good country butt whuppin on the trout. Had 41 or so in the boat. Also put 9 or 10 redfish in along with the trout. I saved a few trout for my recuperation period, in case I get a hankerin for a fried trout supper. The hurricance never showed up as forecast and Jim had bought us live shrimp. Caught everything under the popping cork with either live shrimp or a Vudu shrimp. We used the silver flash with the pink tail, and also the new color Vudu, Green Hornet. Give that one a try. I really like it and the fish do to. Caught them on the last of the incoming tide and all the way through the falling. Great to be outside on the water again, especially with such a great friend. Leave me a few to catch when I'm back in action!
