Rainy day bite

Report Date: July 7, 2020

Fished a great family today that I have fished several times in the past. Eric, Sherri, Olivia, Owen, and Harper were with me again this morning. Picked up live shrimp, and we got started using corks, and stayed with them all morning. The weather was pretty lousy. We fished in and out of the rain almost all morning. And not a complaint one from any of them. Didn't have time really, as the rods were bent all morning long. Everyone got in on the act, as we picked up 1 jack, 2 bluefish, a small shark, 12 redfish, and 18 trout. They kept me busy this morning. Kept a mess of trout and redfish for their fish fry supper this evening. Had half a dozen nice slot reds, and 6 under slot. Most of the trout were just short, but did keep a couple of pretty ones. A really nice to family to fish and enjoy having them on the boat.
