Quantity not quality

Report Date: July 3, 2020

Fished Richard Childress and Todd today. Had a NE wind to start, and got on a trout bite early. They picked up 8 on the first drop, but only one good keeper. Hit a couple more drops on high falling with live shrimp under the cork, and picked up one more trout. Decided to try the outside. My drop where I had been catching the Spanish Mackerel was barren, so went on out to a wreck. There were no Spanish around it either, but they did pick up 4 nice Bluefish and a half dozen small sea bass, plus one of the smallest Cobia I have ever seen. Might have weighed 2 pounds. Back inside and hit a school of small reds, then a nice Black drum. Our last drop produced more small redfish, plus one nice slot fish. Ended the morning with 11 reds, 9 trout, 4 bluefish, 6 black sea bass, a ladyfish, and the baby COBIA.
Fun morning to fish.
