Spanish Mackerel

Report Date: June 20, 2020

Fished Caylor and his Dad Chris this morning. Started inshore, and only picked up 4 small trout. As the water was calm, we elected to run off the beach. And the Spanish Mackerel were thick. They caught 15 and kept a mess for a fry. Went on out to a wreck and used jigging spoons, and picked up a half dozen black sea bass, all shorts, and 4 weakfish, one around the 3 lb mark. Had a couple other big fish hooked up, but both came unbuttoned. Not sure what he had hooked up. Fun morning of catching.
