Another trout bite
Report Date: June 10, 2020
Thank goodness for the numbers and quality of trout we have around right now. Redfish have been tough to come by in general in my drops, so I have been targeting trout and doing pretty well on them. Fished Austin and Blake this morning, with Dad Al along to supervise. Hit a number of drops, and our second was really hot. Probably caught 16 or so trout, and they kept 7 for a fry, and turned back a number of keepers. Caught them on the incoming with live shrimp and mud minnows under the popping cork in 3 or 4 feet of water. Ended up the morning with 21 trout, 1 jack crevalle, 2 bonnetheads, a couple of ladyfish, and a blacktip. Lot of bites again today. Fun morning with some good fisherman.
