Fished with Phil and Dean, and Jim Goller today. Phil and Dean are avid fly fisherman, and were anxious to pop a redfish on the fly. Both are very good casters. Our first drop was a zero, as the 8 and half foot tides were coffee colored from all the rain last week, and way back in the grass. Our second drop got us started. Jim popped the first one with a live shrimp under the cork, and then Phil hooked and put one in the boat with the flyrod. Unfortunately the 8 and 1/2 pound fish broke the rod at the boat, and that ended Phil's flyfishing for the rest of the morning. Dean ended up catching 4 on the fly, missing a couple of bites, and having one come unbuttoned. We ended the morning with 15 redfish, and had some really pretty ones today.
