Fished with Josh this morning, even though we knew it was going to be raining off and on most of the morning. And it did. Started off on low falling tide, and he popped 3 redfish to get us going. All came under the cork with a mudminnow. One of the fish was the fattest redfish I have ever seen. She was 27 inches long, but weighed 10 pounds on the boga scale. Fat!! Hit a trout creek and picked up 4 on grubs, then went hunting redfish on the flats on low tide. Didn't take 5 minutes on the first flat I went to have a school of fish raise up for us. Josh was an excellent fisherman, and put the gulp bait on the jighead in the right place. He caught 4 top of the slot and a little over off that school. In a steady rain. Ended the morning with the 7 Redfish and 4 trout. Been a while since I fished on purpose in the rain!
