Reds and Reds

Report Date: February 10, 2020

Fished with Mark and Dale this morning. Had a very pretty day with light winds for a change. Had an 8.3 ft high tide to work with and started an hour before high. Dale put us on the board within a matter of seconds after his first cast hit the water with a nice slot redfish. Picked up 3 more in the grass, then went to look for the new school I had found yesterday. Wasn't long until Mark was hooked up, and these were bigger fish. Caught 5 off the drop, with Dale putting one in the boat that weighed in at 9 pounds. Our next drop was loaded as the tide just started to pull out. They caught 23 off it, using live shrimp and then gulps. All under the cork. Tried for trout the last hour, but the current was really moving hard on the drop, and too hard to feel the bite on the bottom. Ended up the morning with the 32 Redfish, releasing all of them. Great trip.
