Fished this morning to finish up my break in hours on my new motor, and scout for my trip tomorrow. Tried a trout drop at the top of the high, with nary a bite. Water was 53 degrees and clear, so thought they should have been there. They weren't. Ran to my high water redfish drop, and popped 4 on 4 casts with a gulp, and left them alone for tomorrow. Checked out an old drop I hadn't fished in several years, and the fish raised up for me as I eased the boat into the drop. Caught 2 and left them alone. Tried a couple more old drops, with no bites. Looking forward to catching them tomorrow.
