Break in trip
Report Date: February 5, 2020
Just put a new Yamaha 300 on my boat, and took it to the river to start the break in routine. Jim Goller went with me, and we hit a few drops. Tried some deeper creeks with only a trout or two on the Norton Sand eel, then found a few nice trout in a more moderate depth creek. They were in about 8 feet of water, and we caught them on soft plastics, mainly the Norton and a few on a Vudu shrimp. Ran to one more deeper creek, and put 7 Redfish in the boat, Jim catching the biggest at almost 25 inches. We released everything. Have another 3 hours under 4000 rpm before I can open her up. Have several trips upcoming and should be full bore by then.
