Had a day off today, so went fishing with my good buddy the Legend, Jim Goller. Went early on the mid incoming tide, and I wanted a few trout to keep. Ran to a deep creek and got on the fish. Both of us were throwing a Norton Sand Eel, mine on a 1/4 oz jighead. I use unpainted heads. The tide was pretty mild today and not running too hard. The bite was slow as the water was 51 degrees. We caught 34 trout in a couple hours, and had 3 redfish to boot. I kept a few to clean. Had lots of shorts, but I did have fun picking at him with the 19 inch trout, and the biggest redfish. I had the hot hand today for a change. But of course I was very humble about it!!! We tried a number of redfish drops for two hours after the creek bite, with absolutely nothing. Don't know what is up with that, just like yesterday. The only thing I know for sure is it will change again. Fun morning catching with a good friend.
