Fished Simon and Nicole today. Waited until the top of the high to start, as the temps were rather cool early. Unfortunately I wanted to fish the Broad River today, but when I got to the landing the wind had kicked in and it was pretty rough. I switched out to the Beaufort, as I have some drops that are hid from a northwest wind. Started kinda slow, fishing deep as the water temps were down to 50 degrees. We hit a number of drops, mostly deep, and picked at the fish here and there. Never did get on real strong bite, but they did catch fish along and along. Most came on a live shrimp on the jighead, with the bite being pretty soft. We ended up the day with 10 trout, 9 redfish and 1 sheepshead. Kept several fish for their supper tonight. Very nice couple to fish.
