Pretty fair bite
Report Date: January 12, 2020
Fished with Carl, Rick and Rollie this morning. Had to wait for the rain to clear out, so didn't get started until late morning. Had a little wind to contend with early on, but ended up being pretty nice. Started on high outgoing tide, and picked up a few small trout on our first drop. Fished live shrimp all day, both under the cork and on the jighead. Hit a couple more spots with nothing, then got on a trout bite. They weren't very big, but were bites. Moved a little and found the redfish. They put 13 in the boat, kept their limit of 6 and decided to move on and try for more trout. Hit one more flats drop, and started catching redfish rather than the trout I thought would be there. Ended up the day with 22 redfish and 8 trout. Biggest Redfish was 24 inches, with almost all the rest in the slot. Fun morning with a fun crew to fish.
