Back to work

Report Date: December 9, 2019

Left Thanksgiving eve for Kansas, quail and pheasant hunting. Had a great trip, as we killed 55 pheasants and 25 quail, and my bird dogs were in heaven out there. Took two days off to recuperate, and back on the water today with Jack, Bud, and Hunter. Picked up 23 trout on our first drop, but only one keeper. Hit a redfish drop and caught a half dozen, then up to another drop and caught another 40 trout, plus one over the slot redfish. Caught our trout on both live shrimp fished deep, and under the cork, and on Vudu shrimp under the cork. Clear gold flake seemed to be the hot Vudu today, plus caught quite a few on the silver flash with Chartreuse tail. A really good bite on the falling tide.
