Cold day, Hot bite

Report Date: November 14, 2019

had a 2 boat trip scheduled today but one crew backed out due to cold. We ended up fishing the Beaufort River because of the winds, which won't give us a break. I jumped in with Cpt Bryan Freeman as he never fishes the area, and we had 3 clients, Hunter, Blake, and Benjamin. Got on a trout bite on our second drop, and put about 20 or in the boat. Then went to redfish as the tide started to fall out pretty good. Ended up catching 4 more trout, 2 small black drum, and 30 redfish. They had a mess of trout and 3 redfish to have for supper. Caught almost everything on live shrimp under the cork or on a jighead, except for a few trout they caught on a DOA. I was frozen clear through by the time we quit, but they had a great time catching fish. Looks like tomorrow rain, and Saturday winds are going to get us again. Wish the weather would straighten out a little.
