Back at it
Report Date: October 17, 2019
Fished today with Matt Plante and Cynthia. Had to cancel out Tuesday and Wednesday due to rain, but back on the water today. Started on the last of the high incoming tide. Water was a little cleaner than i thought it might be, and we were able to pick up some fish on several different drops. Caught one pig of a redfish on the incoming, plus a couple more big fish on the falling. The trout bite was pretty good, although the size was not as good as I had on the same drop with a friend on Sunday. We did keep a half dozen for a fish fry for them. They also bit a gulp shrimp in pearl and chartruese better today than they have been. Matt fished it on a 1/4 oz jig head., while Cynthia stayed with the popping cork and live shrimp. Ended up the morning with 21 trout, 7 redfish, and a small Bonnethead shark. Very nice folks to fish.
