another excellent bite
Report Date: October 9, 2019
Fished with Ken and his Dad, and friend Billy this morning. Started off on a trout bite, and had a half dozen in the cooler in pretty short order. Our next drop got us started on redfish, with one short and one over slot, and a couple of more trout. The third drop we hit paydirt, catching 17 redfish, with 15 being between 24 and 26 inches. A couple of black drum came to the boat, and a couple of ladyfish. Ended with 19 redfish, 17 trout, 2 black drum, and the 2 ladyfish. Everything came on live shrimp under the cork again today. Really fun watching folks catch those 6 and 7 pound redfish on light tackle. Great crew to fish.
