Fished with Mark, Bob, and Glen today. The weatherman threw us a bit of a curve, as the winds were a lot stronger than predicted. We started a little different today, as I have a drop that is a small flat surrounded by deep water, and the big Redfish like to get up and tail on the high water. Saw a number of fish, but only got one to bite. The guys had baits around several more. The one we caught was a nice fish. Started on regular drops after that, and struggled until the water got on down a little. Was headed for a deep creek drop, but stopped on a flat and had Mark make a cast. And boom, it was game on. Fished it tilled it slowed down, then ran to a deep creek and picked up 1 more Redfish. I think our final tally was 18 Redfish, 6 trout and a ladyfish. Not too bad of a morning. And they had some pretty nice fish, and released all of them. The bite came as usual on live shrimp under a popping cork, and Mark was catching them on a white/chtruese tail gulp under the cork. A really nice crew of guys to fish.
