St Helena Scout trip

Report Date: September 17, 2019

Have a slow week this week, so decided to scout the St Helena Sound side some this morning. Picked up some live shrimp, and started on the low incoming. My first two drops were chocolate milk colored and I never got a pull. Found some cleaner water on a flat, and went to work. Picked up 7 Redfish, the biggest 28 inches, and the rest were underslot rats. Also had a couple of trout. Left the redfish to look for more spots. Got on a good trout bite, although scattered as the water moved up onto small patches of grass. Had one area I could fish 3 of these little patches, and they all had trout on them. All they wanted were live shrimp today. Couldn't buy one on the Vudu. Ended up with 19 trout, six of which were legal and two of them studs, and the 7 redfish. Released everything. Fun morning catching fish alone.
