Stormy trout

Report Date: July 10, 2019

Fished this morning with Jimmy Fisher. He was most interested in targeting seatrout, so that is what we concentrated on. Did have to sit through one pourdown, but we were prepared with rain gear and set it out. Got right on the fish on our first drop. I had live shrimp, mud minnows and finger mullet in the livewell, and we put them all to good use. Also picked up several fish on the gulp mantis, in pearl/chartreuse. Had a variety, ending the day with 15 and a half trout,(shared the south end of one with a shark), a very nice flounder, 4 redfish (one real pig), a blacktip shark, and a ladyfish. Jimmy fished all the live baits on the bottom with a quarter ounce jighead dragging them slowly, and did very well.
