Stormy Redfish

Report Date: April 7, 2019

Fished Mark, Ken, Tommy and Don this morning. Started off with the river slick as glass, on a low incoming tide. Had live shrimp and slipped up on a drop and they started adding a little catching to the fishing. They put half a dozen nice slot redfish in the boat. The bite slowed and I ran to another drop. I could see the rain coming from the West, so we decided to get our butts up under the big bridge. Didn't quite make it before it started, and spent a half hour or better under the bridge while it poured . Finally went through and we hit one close drop with no pulls, then ran to my school I have been fishing. They were home. The guys put 16 more Reds in the boat before we called it a day. All on live shrimp under a popping cork. A really fun crew to fish and looking forward to having them back on the boat again someday.
