Capt. Rick Percy

Capt. Rick Percy began his fishing career at age 4, encouraged by parents and grandparents, and over 57 years later is still hooked! The last 20 years he has spent prowling the Low Country’s numerous creeks, rivers, and sounds, from Edisto Beach to Hilton Head‘s waters, and the sandbars and near shore wrecks.

He has been successful with light tackle for many of the local species, including speckled trout, redfish, spanish mackerel, tarpon, cobia, king mackerel and close-in wreck fish such as black drum, flounder and spadefish.  Sharks, including blacktip, bonnetheads, and hammerheads are abundant in-season.

Redfish and speckled trout are his favorite targets, until the Cobia show in late April in inshore waters. He has also fished many different fresh and saltwater species in other parts of the world, including bonefish in the Bahamas, snook in Belize, redfish and trout in Louisiana and Texas, and muskies,  smallmouth bass, and walleyes in Canada. Silver salmon and halibut in Alaska round out some of his more exotic piscatorial adventures.

Capt. Rick has also competed in the IFA Redfish Tournament Series and numerous local events.  He runs a 24' Lake and Bay, the Reel Chance, powered by a 250 Yamaha four-stroke engine. He looks forward to the opportunity to serve you and your family and friends, as your guide and host in a great saltwater estuary.  See you on the water, and  Tight Lines to  you!
